Fes to Host the Sixth Economic Forum: Focus on Development and Cooperation

Fes-Meknes Economic Forum Set to Take Place

The Fes-Meknes region is gearing up to host the sixth edition of the Fes-Meknes Economic Forum, which is scheduled to occur from June 24 to June 26, 2026. This year’s theme is "Networks of Cooperation for Sustainable and Inclusive Development," and it will feature a diverse array of economic and institutional stakeholders from both Morocco and abroad. The forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Fes-Meknes region, serves as a vital platform for discussing and exchanging ideas on significant economic and developmental transformations. Attendees will include officials, experts, investors, and entrepreneurs, as well as representatives from national and international institutions. Key topics on the agenda will cover economic cooperation, artificial intelligence, innovation, employment, and regional development.

According to the organizers' statement, this edition of the forum is taking place within the context of a national and international dynamic aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and partnerships. This aligns with the royal directives that emphasize making investment and innovation fundamental drivers of sustainable and inclusive development. The forum's program includes several economic meetings and events, such as the 50th General Assembly of African and Francophone Chambers, a seminar titled "We Afri Can – Africa in Motion," and a "Job Day" organized in partnership with the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Competencies.

Enhancing Cooperation and Economic Partnerships

The forum aims to boost opportunities for cooperation and partnerships among economic actors at regional, national, and international levels. It will facilitate discussions on how to develop the private sector and explore investment prospects, while also supporting South-South and North-South cooperation dynamics. This will be achieved through strengthening institutional relationships between chambers of commerce and international cooperation networks. Additionally, the organizers aspire to position the Fes-Meknes region as a hub for continental economic diplomacy, attracting international economic bodies and institutions, while also solidifying the role of professional chambers in navigating transformations linked to artificial intelligence and sustainable development.
