FIFA Announces Morocco's Base for the World Cup 2026

FIFA Finalizes Morocco's World Cup Accommodation Plans

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has officially revealed the training and accommodation arrangements for the teams participating in the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. In this context, the Moroccan national team has selected the New York-New Jersey area as its base during the tournament.

According to a formal statement from FIFA, the Moroccan delegation will be based at the Pingry School in New York-New Jersey, where they will conduct their training sessions as well. This facility is expected to serve as a "second home" for the Moroccan squad, providing essential technical, medical, and logistical support to ensure the players and coaching staff have the best possible environment for preparation. The team will also have access to training centers located near their accommodation to minimize travel time and enhance physical readiness.

Many Arab teams have similarly chosen to base themselves in the United States, with Algeria settling in Kansas City and Egypt in Spokane. Iraq will be located in the Greenbrier County of Virginia, while Saudi Arabia will set up in Austin, Texas. Additionally, Jordan has selected Portland, Oregon, and Qatar will be based in Santa Barbara, California, while Tunisia has opted for Monterrey in Mexico.

It is noteworthy that Morocco will kick off its World Cup journey on June 13 at 6:00 PM local time (11:00 PM Moroccan time) against Brazil in the opening match held in New York-New Jersey, marking one of the most anticipated games of the group stage. The team will also face Scotland on June 19 at the same time in Boston, concluding their group stage on June 24 at 6:00 PM (11:00 PM Moroccan time) against Haiti in Atlanta.
