Celebrating the Ceramic Industry in Morocco
The Professional Association of Ceramic Industries (APIC) has announced the inaugural National Day of Ceramics, scheduled to take place on May 15, 2026, in Casablanca. This significant event will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, with the esteemed Minister of Industry and Commerce serving as the guest of honor. The day is envisioned as a pivotal gathering for the entire ecosystem, uniting industrialists, architects, designers, experts, and institutional representatives around a shared goal: to reposition ceramics as a strategic lever for the national industry and a material central to current challenges in construction, innovation, and competitiveness.
Addressing Challenges and Embracing Opportunities
In a context characterized by increasing competitive pressures and evolving standards of quality and performance, the Moroccan ceramics sector faces substantial challenges while also possessing solid advantages. Through this initiative, APIC aims to establish a high-level dialogue framework conducive to converging visions and identifying concrete levers to support the structuring and transformation of the sector. The event will feature discussions and panels with prominent speakers focusing on key themes such as the revaluation of ceramics, changes in perception, the significance of 'Made in Morocco', and the development prospects of the sector at the national level.
On this occasion, Omar Chaabi, President of APIC, stated, “This first edition marks a significant step towards recognizing ceramics as a strategic industrial sector. It reflects a collective desire to unite stakeholders around a common ambition: to transform ceramics into a modern, competitive sector that creates value for the national economy.” Through the National Day of Ceramics, APIC reaffirms its role as a unifying body and committed actor in the structuring and enhancement of the sector, in line with the industrial directions of the Kingdom.
