Fouzi Lekjaa Officially Joins the Authenticity and Modernity Party Ahead of Elections

Fouzi Lekjaa's Strategic Move to the Authenticity and Modernity Party

In a significant political development, Fouzi Lekjaa, the Minister Delegate in Charge of the Budget, has officially joined the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) in preparation for the upcoming legislative elections set to take place in September. According to reliable sources cited by "Voice of Morocco," this move comes as part of a strategic agreement reached between the party's national coordinator, Fatima Zahra Mansouri, and Lekjaa himself. This agreement paves the way for Lekjaa to be nominated for the parliamentary elections in the Berkan constituency.

The official announcement of his affiliation with PAM is expected to be made during the party's National Council session on Saturday, July 25. Previously, Lekjaa had been reticent about his political future, stating during an interview with the Qatari network Al Jazeera that, "The unseen is known only to God," when questioned about the possibility of him leading the government in the future through PAM.

This response came during his appearance on the "Maghreb" podcast, where he was asked directly about circulating rumors regarding his potential role as the "World Cup Government Prime Minister". Lekjaa responded cautiously, emphasizing his lack of knowledge on the matter, concluding with a reference to divine knowledge. Recently, numerous speculations have arisen linking Lekjaa's name with PAM, one of the key components of the current governmental coalition.

These discussions are based on the premise that Lekjaa's affiliation would provide him with a political platform, allowing him to steer the government in the future, especially considering that the Moroccan constitution mandates the appointment of the Prime Minister from the party that wins the legislative elections. This has led many observers to view PAM as a suitable platform for a technocrat like Lekjaa to ascend politically.
