French-Algerian National Detained at Marrakech Airport for Offensive Social Media Posts

The security services at Marrakech Menara Airport took decisive action today, apprehending a 30-year-old French citizen of Algerian descent. She was detained on suspicion of involvement in disseminating digital content that included derogatory remarks about Moroccan citizens, as well as defamation and insults directed at public institutions regulated by law.

According to available information, the suspect had been actively posting offensive statements about Moroccans on her social media accounts, alongside direct accusations against public employees regarding bribery and preferential treatment in the execution of their duties related to traffic laws.

An investigation was initiated under the supervision of the public prosecutor's office, which led to the issuance of a national search warrant for her. She was ultimately apprehended at Marrakech Menara Airport while preparing to leave the country on a flight to France.

The suspect is currently under police custody while the local judicial police department in Marrakech conducts a thorough investigation to uncover all details surrounding the case and to ascertain the motives and backgrounds associated with the actions attributed to her.
