On Wednesday, March 25, Moroccan police in Marrakech successfully apprehended a 45-year-old French citizen who was subject to an international arrest warrant due to his alleged involvement in forming a criminal gang. This arrest was executed following directives from judicial authorities in France.
During the process of verifying the individual's identity through Interpol's database, it was revealed that he was wanted on an international level under a Red Notice requested by the National Central Bureau in Paris. The charges against him include forming a criminal organization, trafficking cocaine, and possessing unlicensed weapons and ammunition.
The suspected foreign national has since been subjected to extradition procedures in accordance with instructions from the relevant public prosecutor's office. Additionally, the National Central Bureau of Interpol in Rabat, which operates under the General Directorate of National Security, has been tasked with notifying their counterparts in France regarding the arrest related to the ongoing extradition process.
