Transforming Elderly Care: The Journey of Moroccan Trainees
Khaoula El Rhoulane and Hajar Ouahab are two of the four Moroccan trainees who have embarked on an inspiring journey at the "carpe diem" senior care facility in Dabringhausen since April. As the demand for skilled workers in the healthcare sector continues to rise, these young women are stepping up to fill the gap, bringing not only their skills but also a fresh perspective to elderly care.
Their journey to becoming healthcare professionals has taken them over 3,000 kilometers from Morocco to Dabringhausen, a move that was not made lightly. Hajar Ouahab candidly shares her experience, stating, "Leaving my family was a difficult decision." The initial weeks were particularly challenging as homesickness set in, but her determination to succeed in the nursing profession kept her focused. "I am committed to learning the intricacies of caregiving; it is my dream job," she emphasizes.
