The goal is to create a major platform for pan-African cooperation, where global innovation addresses the continent's sovereignty challenges, ultimately aiming to accelerate the deployment of impactful digital solutions that lay the groundwork for Africa's future economic resilience.

This year, GITEX Africa Morocco has introduced new sector-specific areas and enhanced existing ones, reflecting the continent's most dynamic technological priorities. Among the highlights are smart infrastructure for data centers, designed to tackle the structural challenges that hinder the growth of Africa's digital economy. Additionally, a dedicated space for fintech and the future of finance will spotlight mobile money solutions, AI-driven financial inclusion, and cross-border payments.
The event will also feature a segment dedicated to future mobility, focusing on electric, autonomous, and connected transportation solutions, along with a Sports Tech hub that emphasizes smart sports infrastructure, athlete performance optimization technologies, and innovative fan engagement formats. Cybersecurity remains a focal topic, with a dedicated program developed in collaboration with Morocco's General Directorate for Information Systems Security (DGSSI). The Strategic Digital Defence AI Readiness (STAR) summit will facilitate high-level discussions aimed at equipping businesses, industries, and emerging digital economies in Africa with the frameworks necessary to protect critical infrastructures from increasingly sophisticated AI-driven threats.

The agreement, signed by Barid Al-Maghrib's General Director, Amin Benjelloun Touimi, and ADD's General Director, Amine El Mezouaghi, seeks to establish a high-performing, inclusive, and sustainable digital ecosystem for the Kingdom. This collaboration aims to pool expertise and resources to boost digital transformation, focusing on the deployment of digital services, skill development, business support, and the enhancement of innovation frameworks.
