Givaudan's Strategic Expansion in Morocco

Givaudan, a leading company in the fragrance and flavor industry, has announced the opening of a new fragrance development center in Casablanca, located on Morocco's west coast. This strategic move aims to cater to the burgeoning demand for fragrances across Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. Since establishing its presence in Morocco in March 2025, Givaudan is now enhancing its local capabilities in fragrance development and dedicating a commercial team to serve clients in the Maghreb and West Africa. This expansion underscores the company's commitment to innovation and responsiveness to regional market needs.

Details about the financial investment in this new center have yet to be disclosed; however, it is designed to house state-of-the-art application and perfumery laboratories, a development department, and office spaces. These facilities are expected to facilitate faster innovation in various fragrance applications, including those for textiles, household products, hygiene items, and fine perfumery. Moreover, a dedicated team of evaluators and marketing professionals will operate on-site to support product development and client relations.

According to Maurizio Volpi, President of Givaudan's Fragrance and Beauty division, this expansion aligns perfectly with the company's 2030 strategy, reinforcing its long-term commitment to engage more closely with local and regional clients throughout the SAMEA region—South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa—which is recognized as one of the fastest-growing markets for fragrances and a key priority for Givaudan.
