Fostering International Collaboration in Civil Aviation
The fifth edition of the Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS), organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), commenced this Tuesday in Marrakech. This international event brings together key stakeholders from the civil aviation sector, running from April 14 to 16. Under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the symposium is organized by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics in collaboration with ICAO, focusing on the theme of "Regional Solutions, Global Benefits." The event aims to serve as a strategic platform dedicated to enhancing international cooperation and implementing ICAO standards and policies within the framework of the initiative titled "No Country Left Behind."
The agenda for the symposium features a ministerial round table alongside several panels addressing critical topics such as air connectivity, the "Zero Fatalities" safety initiative, sector financing, the development of airport infrastructure, and talent training. These discussions are expected to foster collaborative efforts and share innovative solutions that promote the growth and safety of the global aviation industry.
