Groundbreaking Progress on the Hassan II Stadium
According to Álvaro Benito's report from Casablanca, Morocco, the ambitious construction of the Hassan II Stadium is well underway, with 40 percent of the seating already completed. This monumental project aims to establish itself as the largest stadium in the world, featuring an impressive LED scoreboard that is said to be double the size of the one at the renowned Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Project architect Tarik Oulalalou emphasizes the vision behind the stadium: "We want the final, you all know that. The Bernabéu is the cathedral of football, but it is located in the heart of the city. Our stadium will be much more comfortable."
Unmatched Features and Strategic Location
Strategically located 38 kilometers north of Casablanca, the Hassan II Stadium is nestled within a forest with ample space for expansion. This extraordinary venue will boast a record-breaking 9,000 VIP seats, which is double the capacity available at the Bernabéu. Currently, around 5,000 workers are engaged in the construction efforts, and this number is expected to rise to 10,000 shortly as the project progresses towards its ambitious completion date of December 2027.
