Severe Heat Wave Alert for Several Regions in Morocco
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding a significant heat wave anticipated from Tuesday through Friday, affecting various regions of Morocco. According to an orange alert bulletin, temperatures are expected to reach between 42 and 45 degrees Celsius in areas such as Oued Eddahab, Boujdour, Assa-Zag, Smara, Tata, and Zagora.
Extended Heat Conditions in Additional Areas
In addition to the extreme temperatures reported, further regions including Marrakech, Al Haouz, Sidi Bennour, Youssoufia, Beni Mellal, Taroudant, Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Khouribga, Settat, and several more are forecasted to experience highs ranging from 38 to 42 degrees Celsius starting Wednesday and continuing through Friday. This widespread heatwave raises concerns about public health and safety, urging residents to take necessary precautions during this period.
