High School Graduation Results in Marrakech-Safi: A Comprehensive Overview

The regional academy for education and training in the Marrakech-Safi region recently released a press statement announcing the results of the ordinary session of the national unified examination for the attainment of the baccalaureate certificate for the June 2026 session. The results revealed that a total of 33,718 candidates from both public and private educational institutions successfully passed, achieving an overall success rate of 68.91%. This figure highlights a significant achievement in the educational landscape of the region.

According to the statement, the number of successful female candidates reached 20,198, boasting a success rate of 72.43%, while 2,288 candidates from the free candidates category succeeded, resulting in a success rate of 37.49%. The distribution of successful candidates across different academic streams indicated that 21,233 individuals in the scientific, technical, and vocational fields obtained their baccalaureate, reflecting a success rate of 64.21%. In contrast, 12,485 candidates from the arts and traditional education stream achieved a higher success rate of 78.71%.

The academy also noted that 19,153 students from the formal education system were awarded the baccalaureate with various distinctions, representing 56.80% of the total successful candidates. This group included 2,713 who earned the 'Very Good' distinction, 5,656 with the 'Good' distinction, and 10,784 who received a 'Satisfactory' rating. Among the standout performers, Aya Chakri from the secondary school 'Chahid Saleh Serghini' in the Rahamna district achieved the highest overall score in the Marrakech-Safi region, with an impressive average of 19.53 in the physical sciences track with a French option.

The press release further indicated that 17,867 candidates will participate in the remedial examination sessions scheduled for July 2, 3, and 4, 2026, across all disciplines, with results expected to be announced on July 11, 2026. In closing, the regional academy extended its congratulations to all candidates who successfully completed their baccalaureate examinations and commended the efforts of the administrative and educational staff, parents' associations, families, local authorities, and all partners who contributed to the success of this national educational milestone. The academy also wished good luck to candidates preparing for the upcoming remedial examinations.
