Annual Meeting Recap and Celebrations
The annual meeting held at the Bräuhaus in Ummendorf was officially opened by Chairman Bernd Graf with a warm greeting. The session looked back at the busy year of 2025, highlighting numerous trips that included an exciting tour to Morocco in February, partnership meetings in Valence and Erkenbrechtsweiler, a four-day excursion to the Erzgebirge, a jubilee trip to Würzburg, a fall tour to Alsace, and various day trips that captured the members' enthusiasm. Additionally, events such as the Christmas party, winter grilling, and participation in the amateur shooting event, along with numerous regular club evenings, were very well received. Following the chairman's address, treasurer Susanne Goller presented her report, which was met with great anticipation. It was announced that a small profit had been achieved in 2025 as well.
Election Updates and Honoring Members
Only the position of treasurer saw new elections, as Susanne Goller stepped down at her own request. Steffi Lendle was successfully appointed as the new treasurer. In a gesture of gratitude for her 17 years of dedicated service, Susi Goller was presented with a gift. Furthermore, Joschua Goller received a belated gift for his eight years of committee membership. A special acknowledgment was given to Bernd Graf for his remarkable 50 years of club membership, while Bernhard Keck, who also celebrated 50 years in the club, was honored at the Christmas party but was unable to attend the annual meeting due to a long-planned vacation in New Zealand.
Looking ahead, the schedule for the upcoming year was discussed, with partnership meetings in France, Italy, and Germany already confirmed. Additional suggestions were welcomed as well.
In conclusion, several organizational matters were addressed before our president officially ended the assembly with a spirited three-fold "Gib-Gas" cheer, transitioning into a more relaxed segment of the evening.
Our regular club meetings take place every Thursday, bi-weekly on odd calendar weeks. Visitors are always welcome to join us.
