Government Achievements Highlighted by Fatima Zahra Amour
Fatima Zahra Amour, a member of the Political Bureau of the National Rally of Independents Party, recently showcased the government’s accomplishments and major initiatives during its current term. This presentation took place in a communication meeting held with the residents of Ba Mohammed village in the Taounate province on Tuesday evening. Amour emphasized that despite the challenges presented by recent years, including the COVID-19 pandemic and drought, the government has successfully implemented several initiatives. She highlighted key areas such as direct social support, the expansion of health coverage, increases in wages and the minimum wage, and significant attention to the health and education sectors, alongside efforts to promote investment.
During her address, Amour also discussed the new investment charter, which she believes has played a crucial role in bolstering productive sectors. Additionally, she shared promising statistics regarding the tourism sector, projecting that the number of tourists visiting Morocco could reach 20 million by 2025, potentially creating around 92,000 direct jobs within this field, based on the data she provided at the meeting.
Referring specifically to the Fez-Meknes region, Amour noted that the area has benefitted from the revitalized tourism sector, with new accommodation projects being launched. However, she pointed out a notable lack of recreational facilities, which she believes adversely affects the duration of tourist stays in the region. In this context, she mentioned the "Go Siyaha" program, which has facilitated funding and support for 220 tourism-related projects in the Fez-Meknes area, asserting that these initiatives will help extend the duration of tourist visits and create new employment opportunities.
Amour also outlined several key components of the program proposed by the National Rally of Independents Party for the upcoming phase. This plan includes three commitments and 12 measures aimed at protecting purchasing power, ensuring the quality of public services, and enhancing economic integration. In terms of employment, she expressed the goal of creating one million jobs by 2030 and reducing the unemployment rate to 9%. Furthermore, Amour mentioned plans to increase the "return to work" grant to four times the minimum wage and extend its duration from six months to twelve months. She also addressed the status of seasonal workers, proposing the introduction of a special card for this demographic that would allow them to access various social rights, including retirement benefits and health coverage, as well as giving them priority for reemployment.
Nabila Rmili Emphasizes Political Audacity
In a related discussion, Nabila Rmili, another member of the Political Bureau of the National Rally of Independents Party, focused on the party's experiences and political choices since 2021. She asserted that the essence of party work lies in active field presence and direct communication with citizens, linking their demands and expectations to public programs and policies. Rmili expressed that she embarked on her journey within the National Rally of Independents at the age of 26, identifying herself as part of a generation "made in Independents and will remain in Independents," underscoring her commitment to the party and her continuous involvement in its activities.
She described the party's 2021 program as being based on what she called "political audacity," particularly concerning the establishment of a social state and achieving equal opportunities. In the education sector, Rmili highlighted improvements such as increased salaries for educators, expanded school support, and the launch of "Leadership Schools," while noting that education reform remains an ongoing endeavor. Regarding health, she explained that reforming the healthcare system requires time, acknowledging that the government has laid several legal and institutional foundations for this reform, including the establishment of territorial health groups.
Furthermore, Rmili introduced the "third-party payment" proposal, which aims to alleviate the cost of medical treatment for citizens by reducing the amount paid directly at the time of receiving care. She also mentioned the "Unified Digital Medical File" project, which, according to her vision, will consolidate citizens' health data and facilitate access to it across various health institutions. Throughout the meeting, Rmili stressed the grassroots nature of the National Rally of Independents, asserting that it encompasses talents from diverse fields and calling for continued engagement with citizens to raise awareness of the party's programs and proposals.
