Hilton Unveils Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé: A New Luxury Destination in North Africa

Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé Opens Its Doors

In early May, Hilton proudly expanded its luxury portfolio in North Africa with the grand opening of the Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé. This exquisite hotel is situated within the iconic Mohammed VI Tower in Rabat-Salé, which stands as the tallest building in Morocco, offering breathtaking panoramic views that stretch from the Bouregreg River to the Atlantic Ocean. The property boasts a total of 55 elegantly designed rooms and suites, complemented by approximately 1,300 square meters of versatile event space.

The interiors of the rooms and suites reflect a harmonious blend of marble, traditional Moroccan ornamentation, and warm color palettes, providing a luxurious and inviting atmosphere. Moreover, the hotel's concept is further enhanced by an impressive private art collection, featuring nearly 7,000 works that showcase the rich culture of Morocco alongside pieces from around the globe.

Culinary Excellence and Event Facilities

On the culinary front, Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé aims to establish an international reputation with a diverse range of dining options. Notably, the hotel features the signature restaurant 'Aldabaran,' helmed by renowned French chef Alain Ducasse. The culinary experience is further enriched by the famous Waldorf Astoria lounge, Peacock Alley, as well as the Mediterranean brasserie, Magnolia, with plans for additional restaurant and bar concepts in the pipeline.

For meetings and events, the hotel offers a grand ballroom and three additional meeting rooms, totaling nearly 1,300 square meters dedicated to various events. Hilton emphasizes that these facilities cater to both business gatherings and diplomatic receptions, as well as private celebrations, making it an ideal venue for a variety of occasions.

Guests can also indulge in a comprehensive wellness experience at the on-site spa, which features traditional Moroccan wellness rituals, multiple treatment rooms, an indoor pool, and an infinity pool overlooking the sea, in addition to a fully equipped fitness center.

According to Guy Hutchinson, President of Hilton Middle East & Africa, Morocco presents significant potential in the hospitality market. The country is projected to welcome over 18 million tourists by 2025, with Rabat playing an increasingly vital role in achieving the national goal of attracting 20 million visitors by 2030. The Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé is conveniently located near several UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, and the historic medinas of Rabat and Salé. Additionally, a high-speed train connection to Casablanca and Tangier enhances accessibility, establishing the luxury hotel as an ideal gateway to the capital and beyond.
