U.S. Consulate in Casablanca Embarks on a New Era
The United States Consulate General in Casablanca has announced a significant relocation that marks the end of an era on Boulevard Moulay Youssef, where it has been situated for decades. As of April 4, the consulate confirmed that all its operations will be moving to a new state-of-the-art complex located on Rue des Liserons, right in the heart of the Casa Anfa urban hub, and in close proximity to Casablanca Finance City (CFC). This transition not only represents a physical move but also signifies a commitment to enhancing services for American citizens and fostering better diplomatic relations.
In a related development, the cultural center Dar America, currently located at Place Belair in the Gauthier neighborhood, will also be making the switch to the new location. The timeline for this transition has been officially established: services for American citizens and visa processing will cease operations at the Boulevard Moulay Youssef on April 21, with reopening scheduled for April 28 in the new facilities. Meanwhile, Dar America will close its doors in Gauthier on April 10 and is set to reopen at the CFC on May 5, ensuring a seamless transition for visitors and participants of its programs.
