RS Fassi Celebrates Championship Success
In a momentous ceremony held on Tuesday evening at the Sports Complex in Fes, RS Fassi officially received the trophy for the ‘Inwi’ Professional Championship of the first division. This event marked the culmination of a historic season for the club, which has made an impressive return to the pinnacle of Moroccan football. The trophy presentation was attended by notable figures including the Wali of Fes-Meknes, Khalid Ait Taleb, the president of the National Professional Football League, Abdessalam Bellqachour, as well as the President of the Fes-Meknes Regional Council, the President of the Fes Municipal Council, and various local officials and club management members.
The trophy was handed over to the captain of RS Fassi and Moroccan international goalkeeper, Salah Eddine Chihab, in a grand ceremony staged in the middle of the pitch, eliciting jubilant cheers from the ecstatic fans. Following this prestigious moment, which officially crowned the club as the champion for the 2025-2026 season, medals were awarded to the players, coaching staff, and the medical and administrative teams. The celebration was further enhanced by dazzling light displays, fireworks, and musical performances, creating a festive atmosphere attended by tens of thousands of supporters celebrating the club's ninth championship title, their first since 1985.
After the trophy handover, players paraded the trophy around the stadium, sharing their joy with the fans and reveling in a long-awaited victory. This festive occasion came to a close after an earlier official reception held at the Fes-Meknes Wali's headquarters, where it was announced that various elected councils in the region would allocate exceptional financial support amounting to 18 million dirhams to aid the club in consolidating its achievements and continuing its development, particularly in anticipation of upcoming continental competitions.
