HTIC 2026 Set to Transform Medical Education in Rabat
Morocco is gearing up to host an international scientific event dedicated to health simulation and educational innovation. The fifth edition of the Healthcare Training International Conference (HTIC) is scheduled to take place from March 26 to 28, 2026, at the International University of Rabat, with a pre-congress event planned for March 25.
Organized by Morocco Sim, the Moroccan Society of Health Simulation, in collaboration with the International University of Rabat, this event will bring together specialists in health sciences education to discuss new pedagogical approaches and emerging technologies applied to medical education. The official inaugural session is set for March 25 at 4:30 PM, featuring institutional leaders, academic figures, and numerous experts from the field.
Over the years, this conference has established itself as a significant gathering for medical training stakeholders, highlighting advancements in health simulation, pedagogical innovations, and technological transformations that are redefining learning methodologies in healthcare professions.
Focus on Research and Technological Integration
This year's edition will place a strong emphasis on medical simulation research, fundamental sciences applied to healthcare professional training, and the integration of these approaches into medical education reforms. Topics for discussion will also include digital health, immersive technologies, and the contributions of artificial intelligence to educational practices.
HTIC 2026 will stand out with the concurrent organization of several international scientific events, including Mohakate 2026, the first pan-Arab congress focused on health simulation, SimTech 2026, dedicated to simulation technicians, and HackMed 2026, a hackathon centered on innovation in medical education.
More than fifteen scientific sessions are expected to take place simultaneously, combining international conferences, practical workshops, pedagogical sessions, and presentations of technological innovations. The conference aims to gather over fifty international experts and more than fourteen scholarly societies specializing in health simulation.
Organizers anticipate the participation of several hundred attendees from over twenty-five countries, including educators, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, biomedical engineers, health managers, and medical science students.
Through this new edition, Morocco Sim and the International University of Rabat aim to strengthen international scientific exchanges, promote research in medical simulation, and support pedagogical innovation, ultimately improving the training of healthcare professionals and the quality of care.
