The Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Marrakech-Safi region has announced a series of urgent administrative measures in response to allegations concerning the behavior of a nurse working at a healthcare facility within the Marrakech province. The directorate emphasized that the handling of this issue began promptly from the moment the allegations surfaced.
According to a statement released by the directorate, a specialized committee coordinated with the regional health and social protection delegation in Marrakech to conduct an administrative investigation at the affected healthcare facility. This investigation included interviewing relevant parties and gathering necessary data to ascertain the truth of the events and the circumstances surrounding them.
The initial results of the inquiry led to the decision to provisionally suspend the implicated nurse from their duties while the administrative investigation is ongoing. Legal proceedings have also commenced to present the case to the relevant disciplinary council for necessary actions in accordance with existing legislation.
While the investigation procedures continue, the directorate has confirmed that the healthcare facility in question continues to provide services to citizens without any disruption in operations. This is attributed to the organizational measures taken to ensure the continuity of public services.
The Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection reaffirmed its commitment to zero tolerance towards any practices that may undermine the ethics of healthcare professions or infringe upon the rights and dignity of patients.
