The First International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the eminent Azerbaijani scholar, theologian, and philosopher Sheikh Seyid Yahya Bakuvi Shirvani is currently taking place in Baku. This significant event is being held in conjunction with the seventh meeting of the Council of Leaders of Muslim Religious Authorities of the Turkic States Organization, highlighting the importance of unity and shared cultural values among these nations.

Under the theme "Sheikh Yahya Bakuvi in the Cultural Heritage of the Islamic World: Moderate Values and Modern Challenges," the conference delves into various aspects of Sheikh Bakuvi's philosophical legacy. Key discussion points include the influence of his Sufi school on the spiritual integration of the Turkic world, as well as pressing issues such as multiculturalism, human rights, and the fight against extremism and xenophobia.
