Serious Allegations Against Children's Care Workers
The public prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in Fes has ordered the detention of twelve employees from the Dar Al-Awtal children's association in Fes under preliminary investigation. This decision comes amid serious allegations linking these individuals to human trafficking and the incitement of minors to engage in prostitution and theft.
According to information obtained by Telquel Arabic, investigators from the regional judicial police in Fes have been conducting extensive research and investigations over the past several weeks regarding suspicions of human trafficking and the involvement of minors in prostitution and robbery, which are believed to have occurred within a charitable institution known as the Hope Foundation in the Saïss district of Fes.
The findings of these investigations have been submitted to the public prosecutor's office, which has subsequently decided to place the twelve suspects under protective custody for further inquiry and investigation before presenting them to the competent judicial authority for appropriate legal action.
This case involves a caregiver and a general supervisor currently working at the institution, two former directors of the facility, a former warehouse manager, three trainers, two caregivers, two security guards, and the current president of the association. Additionally, it is anticipated that six other individuals will be summoned in a non-custodial capacity concerning the same case. These individuals include a sewing shop owner, a former director of the institution, a former president of the association, a national cooperation employee, a trainer, and a social worker.
