ISESCO Releases Special Issue on Arabic Language and Knowledge Identity

ISESCO Unveils the Seventh Edition of Its Cultural Magazine

The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has recently published the seventh edition of its quarterly cultural magazine, featuring a central theme titled "The Arabic Language and Questions of Knowledge Identity." This edition delves into the current state and future prospects of the Arabic language, examining its role in knowledge production alongside significant issues such as the Arabization of sciences, linguistic diplomacy, and the challenges faced by the Arabic language today.

Overseen by ISESCO's Center for Poetry and Literature, this issue includes a variety of articles, studies, and intellectual dialogues, with one of the highlights being an interview with ISESCO's Director General, Salem Ben Mohammed Al-Malik. In this conversation, Al-Malik discusses the organization's priorities for the upcoming term following his reappointment and outlines ISESCO's vision for enhancing its presence in the fields of education, science, and culture.

Additionally, this edition celebrates the milestone of ten million visitors to the International Museum and Exhibition of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization. It features articles addressing Lebanon's cultural experience, the contributions of Arab and Muslim scholars to the establishment of modern chemistry, as well as dialogues with Iraqi poet Aref Al-Saadi and Moroccan educational expert Mohammed Dreej about the cultural and educational landscape in the Islamic world.
