The so-called "Israeli Ministry of Security" made its first official participation in a military exhibition in Morocco, showcasing a pavilion that features eight companies displaying drones, air defense systems, precision weapons, and technologies that they claim have been "battle-tested." This event coincided with protests from hundreds of Moroccans in Rabat who expressed their rejection of normalization and solidarity with Palestine.
On Thursday, October 8, the ministry announced the opening of its "Israeli" pavilion and the delegation's leadership at the "Marrakech Air Show 2026," which runs until Saturday. They described this participation as the first of its kind in Morocco since the signing of the "Abraham Accords."
According to the ministry, eight companies from the "Israeli" military industry are participating in the exhibition, including the three major firms: Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), and Rafael.
The companies are presenting military and technological solutions across various fields, including aviation, land, sea, space, intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital technologies, in addition to air defense systems, drones, precision weapons, and satellites.
Among the products showcased, the Israeli Aerospace Industries displayed the precision strike system "LORA" and the "Heron MK II" drone, alongside technologies related to air defense, space, and satellites.
This participation occurs at a time when military and diplomatic relations between Morocco and the occupying state have been expanding since the announcement of normalization in 2020 under the "Abraham Accords," facilitated by the United States, which included several other Arab nations normalizing their relations with the occupation.
Last September, the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced an agreement with Morocco to elevate diplomatic representation and exchange the opening of embassies, following a meeting between the foreign ministers of both sides and the US ambassador to the United Nations in New York.
In contrast to this military participation, hundreds of Moroccans demonstrated in the capital Rabat on Wednesday, October 7, to express their rejection of normalization and support for the Palestinian people, coinciding with the third anniversary of the beginning of the "Israeli" genocide against the Gaza Strip.
The protesters reiterated their refusal to expand relations with the occupation, particularly in military fields, as occupation companies continue to market their weapons and technologies as battle-tested, despite their use in ongoing wars and assaults against Palestinians.
