Italy's Strong Performance at the CSIO4*-W in Rabat

This past weekend, the Italian equestrian team showcased their skills at the CSIO4*-W in Rabat, marking the second event of the Morocco Royal Tour 2026. The competition was filled with strong performances, culminating in the Nations Cup held on Sunday afternoon. The Italian team, consisting of selected carabiniere **Roberto Previtali** riding Quirinus 27 (4/0), **Lorenzo Argentano** on Corna Boy (4/1), Police Officer **Francesca Ciriesi**, who also served as the Chef d'Equipe, with Cash Royal 4 (0/8), and **Emanuele Camilli** on Chacco's Air PS (1/0), finished fifth overall, accumulating a total of six penalties out of nine participating teams.

The Italian riders demonstrated an impressive level of skill, with three clear rounds and only two rounds marred by time penalties. Unfortunately, these two additional penalties prevented Italy from competing for victory in the jump-off against the four teams that completed their rounds with just four penalties each. The final victory went to France, with the home team Morocco taking second place, followed by Germany and Belgium.

Notable Achievements and Upcoming Competitions

Adding to Italy's success in Morocco, **Roberto Previtali** also delivered a standout performance in the Grand Prix of 1.55m held on Friday, where he achieved a double clear round with Conthargo-Blue, securing fourth place among 45 competitors. Meanwhile, in Lier, Belgium, on Saturday, **Giampiero Garofalo**, a first chosen airman, clinched his second Grand Prix victory within three weeks, riding Lambrusco. He completed two flawless rounds and finished as the fastest of the seven combinations in the jump-off, clocking in at 46.46 seconds out of 39 starters.

The Grand Prix was won by Austrian rider Max Kühner aboard EIC Up Too Jacco Blue, who completed a flawless round in 40.52 seconds among 40 competitors.
