Ivorian President Receives New Moroccan Ambassador

The Ivorian President, Alassane Ouattara, hosted a significant meeting on Thursday at the presidential palace in Abidjan with the newly appointed Moroccan Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, Othman El Ferdaous. During this formal reception, the ambassador presented his credentials as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire.

In a gesture of goodwill, the Moroccan diplomat conveyed the warm greetings of King Mohammed VI to President Ouattara, along with heartfelt wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of Côte d'Ivoire. The ambassador emphasized the importance of further strengthening the long-standing relations that unite the two countries and their peoples.

El Ferdaous expressed his admiration for the exemplary quality of the Moroccan-Ivorian relations, highlighting not only the strong ties between the heads of state but also the deep cultural and humanitarian connections shared by the Moroccan and Ivorian peoples. He elaborated on the multifaceted nature of the partnership between the two nations, which encompasses vital areas such as security, culture, religion, finance, academia, science, technology, and social welfare.

Moreover, the Moroccan diplomat commended the developmental efforts undertaken by Côte d'Ivoire through its national development plan for 2026-2030, reiterating Morocco's full readiness to contribute to its implementation. He conveyed Morocco's steadfast commitment to enhancing cooperation with Côte d'Ivoire across various sectors to further solidify the exemplary relations between the two countries.
