Support for Ivorian Scholars in Morocco
On August 26, 2026, the Directorate of Continuing Education, Internships, and Scholarships under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation held an informative meeting for Ivorian students who have been awarded scholarships by the Kingdom of Morocco. This gathering aimed to provide valuable insights to the sixty-nine selected students and their parents regarding the scholarship's terms and prepare them for their upcoming journey and integration into Moroccan society.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that the scholarship encompasses tuition fees and a monthly allowance of 750 dirhams, equivalent to 45,000 CFA francs, which will be disbursed every two months. Additionally, recipients will benefit from health and life insurance, although families will need to cover other expenses incurred during their studies. The meeting also clarified the travel and reception arrangements, with three departures scheduled for September 2026, supported by the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, the embassy, and the Association of Ivorian Students in Morocco.
In her address, Ambassador Essis Lezou Cécile, the Director of Scholarships and Internships, urged the scholarship holders to adhere to the laws of their host country, maintain exemplary conduct, and actively participate in the Ivorian student association in Morocco. This initiative not only facilitates educational opportunities for Ivorian students but also strengthens the ties between Côte d'Ivoire and Morocco, fostering a spirit of cooperation and mutual support.
