Telecinco's Revamped Morning Show Features Controversial Remarks
This Monday, Joaquín Prat and the program 'El tiempo justo' made a significant return to Telecinco's morning lineup, presenting a fresh look and introducing new faces, including Macarena Olona, Marcos de Quinto, and Aldo Comas. The latter has stirred up quite a buzz on social media due to his provocative statements regarding Ceuta. During a segment of the show, Prat welcomed Aldo Comas, who was in Morocco for work. Comas candidly shared his experience, stating, "I didn't encounter any issues. I had some doubts about being detained, but overall it went well. I came to meet a client because there is a lot of money here, and I've asked around. When you mention Ceuta, people see it as Spanish."
Comas didn't shy away from criticizing the Spanish government led by Pedro Sánchez, claiming that their handling of the situation in Ceuta has been poor, labeling them as "very foolish" or even a "band of psychopaths" responding to an indifferent Europe. He further escalated the conversation by suggesting, "We need to militarize the border and use force. Had we done that, no one would have crossed." He drew comparisons to Japan, noting that illegal entry there can lead to a six-year prison sentence, which he believes deters people from attempting to cross borders illegally.
Continuing with his controversial opinions, Comas referred to the individuals who crossed from Morocco to Ceuta on July 31 as "purria," implying they were a nuisance. He expressed his view that if Spain had a secure border, unauthorized individuals wouldn't be able to enter the country at all. Comas proposed that once individuals have crossed the border, legal measures should be taken, suggesting a temporary state of emergency where vulnerable groups would be taken care of while others could be deported to places like Syria or Afghanistan. His inflammatory remarks prompted Prat to remind him to ensure he does not lose his passport, jokingly adding, "I'll see you back in the studio tomorrow."
These comments have ignited a flurry of reactions on X, with many users expressing disbelief that such sentiments were aired on Telecinco.
