IDinsight is actively seeking experienced senior data scientists with a robust background in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess between four to eight years of relevant experience and will be based in Rabat, Morocco, or Dakar, Senegal, although we are open to applicants from other IDinsight office locations including Nairobi, Kenya; New Delhi, India; Manila, Philippines; and Lusaka, Zambia. In this pivotal role, you will utilize your expertise to promote social impact by driving innovative data solutions across various project teams and clients. Your contributions may include developing models aimed at identifying out-of-school children, creating LLM-powered co-pilots for educators, designing systems to help citizens access essential benefits, implementing geospatial tools for public infrastructure planning, or optimizing resource allocation in public health initiatives. About IDinsight and Your Role
In your role, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of solutions—from conception to deployment. This encompasses not just data processing and algorithm design but also full-stack engineering responsibilities. You may also assess tools developed by other organizations in the sector, providing vital insights for their enhancement or scaling. Our data science products are designed to be contextually relevant, building on subject-matter expertise for efficacy. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary partners—including economists, social sector experts, and domain specialists in public health and education—you will develop and test tailored solutions.

We are looking for candidates with significant expertise in Python, comprehensive knowledge of various data science specialties—including predictive modeling, machine learning, deep learning, GenAI/LLMs, NLP, optimization, and geospatial analytics—and proven experience in delivering solutions in production. Successful applicants should demonstrate their ability to adapt quickly, solve complex challenges independently, and communicate effectively in both English and preferably French.
