Morocco's Women's National Team on the Rise
In a recent press conference held in Rabat, the national coach Jorge Vilda expressed his pride in Morocco's competitive women's football team, which has made significant strides in recent years. He emphasized that the team's participation in advanced stages of major tournaments, such as consecutive finals in the African Cup of Nations (CAN) and the knockout rounds of the World Cup, showcases their development and growing prowess on the international stage. Reflecting on their recent match against Algeria, Vilda stated, "Our goal was to secure third place, but the outcome was determined by penalties, despite the convincing performance of the players who dominated the match."
