Kawkab Triumphs Over KACM with a Narrow Victory
In an exciting encounter that showcased the fierce competitive spirit of Moroccan football, Kawkab Marrakech emerged victorious against their rivals, KACM (Club Athlétique de Kénitra), with a narrow 1-0 win. This match, held on the evening of Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the prestigious Cherifian Stadium, was part of the second round of the Professional League, marking a significant milestone for Kawkab in this season's campaign.
The first half of the match ended in a stalemate, with both teams exchanging several attacking attempts but failing to find the back of the net. The intensity remained high as neither side wanted to concede an early goal. As the second half progressed, both teams intensified their efforts, striving to secure a decisive goal. It was in the 83rd minute that Kawkab Marrakech managed to break through the solid defense of the home team. The pivotal moment came when Saleh Salami found the net, scoring the only goal of the match and giving his team the lead they would maintain until the final whistle.
This victory marked Kawkab Marrakech's first win of the professional league season, elevating them to seven points and placing them in the seventh position on the league table. Conversely, KACM's points remained stagnant at three, keeping them in fourth place. Despite the advantage of playing at home and the support of their fans, KACM was unable to capitalize on these factors to secure a positive result.
As the season progresses, Kawkab Marrakech will look to build on this momentum, while KACM will need to regroup and strategize for their upcoming fixtures to regain their competitive edge.
