King Mohammed VI Welcomes Newly Appointed CSPJ Members
On June 4, 2026, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, who serves as the president of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ), held a significant meeting at the Royal Palace in Rabat. During this audience, the King officially welcomed the newly appointed members of the CSPJ, a move that aligns with the constitutional provisions and the organic law governing this esteemed institution. Among those appointed were Mohamed Abdennabaoui, who has been reappointed for a second term as the first president of the Court of Cassation and, in this capacity, serves as the deputy president of the CSPJ. Joining him are Latifa El Harradji and Nadir El Moumni, both of whom are newly inducted members of the Council.
In addition to these appointments, the King also designated Farid El Bacha for a position within the CSPJ and renewed the terms of Mohamed Zouak and Mohamed Ennasser for a second mandate. These decisions reflect the authority vested in the monarch by the constitution to appoint members to this critical judicial body. During the meeting, the two new members took an oath in front of the King, marking the beginning of their official duties within the Council.
