On the final day of the transfer window, Lazio bid farewell to two of their strikers, Boulaye Dia and Petar Ratkov, who have been transferred to Stade Rennais and Levante, respectively. Reports from Italian journalist Damiano Er Faina indicate that Lazio's offer, which included an obligation to buy for a total of €12 million, was not enough to entice the Portuguese club. Consequently, Lazio has shifted its focus and is now set to announce the signing of Albert Gudmundsson, a move that was finalized by acquiring the 29-year-old from Fiorentina.
Moreover, the club's hopes of signing Otele were also dashed. The 27-year-old Nigerian forward was seen as an ideal backup for Mattia Zaccagni. However, it has been reported that FC Basel has filled all of their loan spots, leaving Lazio with no option but to pursue a permanent transfer, which poses a significant financial challenge given the club's current budget constraints.
