Exciting Lineup for the 24th Edition of L’Boulevard
L’Boulevard, the renowned music festival, is returning to Casablanca's R.U.C. Stadium for its highly anticipated 24th edition, scheduled from September 17 to 20. This year's festival promises an eclectic mix of over 33 acts hailing from diverse regions, including Morocco, France, Brazil, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, and Belgium. This free festival will showcase a wide range of musical genres such as rap, rock, metal, electronic music, dub, and soul, ensuring there is something for every music enthusiast.
Among the standout performances is the iconic Brazilian thrash-metal band Sepultura, which will be touring as part of their final world tour. They will be joined by a variety of talented artists such as Dizzy Dros, Bab L’Bluz, Issam Kamal & Mazagan, and Suicide Machine. Additional acts include Bo9al, Figoshin, Rhita Nattah, DJ Fly, Omar EK, Aziz Konkrite, Kin’Gongolo Kiniata, Sarāb, and Zentone, all set to take the stage and entertain audiences.
Emerging Talent and Community Engagement
The festival will also spotlight emerging Moroccan talent through the Tremplin competition, where 15 up-and-coming artists will perform. Genres include Rap/Hip-Hop on September 17 with acts like Funk Clan and Strong & Qweta, Fusion on September 18 featuring Arinass and Metrotune, and Rock/Metal on September 19 represented by Anora and Lixivia. Winners of each category will receive cash prizes of 15,000 dirhams for first place and 10,000 for second, along with the opportunity to receive professional training and record a track at Studio HIBA. Since its inception in 1999, the Tremplin competition has showcased over 765 Moroccan acts, underlining its commitment to fostering local talent.
Additionally, the festival will feature Souk L’Boulevard, a vibrant marketplace that will open daily at 4 p.m., offering over 30 stands from various associations, collectives, artists, and artisans. Visitors can engage in a variety of activities, including circus performances by Colokolo, a dance floor hosted by Liquid Bridge, and a climbing wall by Tla3climb. There will also be video games, workshops, a brass band, cosplay, and a food court to enhance the festival experience.
Particularly noteworthy is the Souk Rassek initiative, developed in collaboration with the 4S association, aimed at supporting individuals affected by gender-based violence. The festival will also provide valuable educational opportunities, with nearly 70 OFPPT students and 15 youth center managers visiting backstage areas to learn about entertainment professions.
Following the festival, from September 21 to 26, winners will undergo training at the R.U.C., Boultek, and Technopark focusing on performance, recording, copyright, digital communication, health, and career development. The festival will run until 11:30 p.m. each night at the R.U.C. Stadium, located on Boulevard Abdallah Ibrahim, Oasis, near the Beauséjour T2 tram stop, with free admission for all attendees.
