LEONI Unveils New Factory in Bouskoura with 640 Million Dirhams Investment

LEONI Strengthens Industrial Footprint in Morocco

On June 11, 2026, LEONI, a leading provider of energy and data management solutions for the automotive sector, announced the commencement of construction for a new manufacturing facility in Bouskoura, Morocco. This significant investment, amounting to 640 million dirhams, marks a pivotal expansion in the company's operational capabilities within the region. The new site will span approximately 35,000 square meters and is projected to create around 4,000 direct and indirect jobs.

With this addition, LEONI will increase its production units in Morocco to 12, enhancing its existing network of manufacturing plants located in Bouskoura, Berrechid, Bouznika, Agadir, and Casablanca. LEONI has been operational in Morocco since 1971 and currently employs nearly 20,000 individuals across its various facilities. This new plant is expected to bolster the group's production capacity in automotive wiring systems, serving major global car manufacturers.

Strategic Investment and Future Prospects

This initiative aligns with the investment agreement signed in 2023 between LEONI and the Moroccan government, which encompasses a broader program exceeding 932 million dirhams. This strategy has already led to the establishment of an industrial site in Agadir in January 2025, which involved an investment of 230 million dirhams and the creation of over 3,000 direct jobs.

Furthermore, the Bouskoura facility will include a training center and an innovation and research and development hub focused on automotive wiring technologies. This investment is part of LEONI's overarching strategy to enhance digitalization, automation, and operational excellence in its Moroccan operations.

LEONI regards Morocco as a crucial component of its global industrial network, facilitating production and export to more than 14 countries. This new venture signifies LEONI's confidence in Morocco's industrial potential and the competitiveness of its automotive ecosystem, which has solidified its status as the country's leading export sector.
