Leva Hotels to Open Leva Casablanca in June
The esteemed hotel group, Leva Hotels, is preparing to make its debut in the Moroccan hospitality market with the highly anticipated opening of Leva Casablanca, scheduled for June 1st. This establishment is the result of a management agreement reached with Ares Invest, the family office of the Oukrid family, represented by Ismaïl Oukrid.
Renovation of the Iconic Washington Hotel
Rather than being a new construction, Leva Casablanca will take over the historic Hôtel Washington, which has been an iconic landmark since its establishment in 1953, located in the vibrant Mers Sultan neighborhood. This four-star hotel features 106 rooms and is celebrated for its modernist architecture, a panoramic bar on the 8th floor, and its strategic position that bridges the ancient medina and the bustling business center of the metropolis.
The transition to the Leva brand will be seamless, as the hotel will remain operational during its phased renovation process. Leva intends to infuse its brand identity, which emphasizes design and lifestyle, into the hotel’s ambiance. Guests can expect artistically inspired interiors, communal spaces designed for social interaction and co-working, an all-day dining area, and an upgraded rooftop bar. Additionally, plans for a spa and fitness center are in the works for a later phase of development.
JS Anand, the founder and CEO of Leva Hotels, expressed that Casablanca embodies “the right balance between business demand, connectivity, and cultural energy,” making it a strategic entry point into North Africa.
