He pointed out that Sánchez's announcement to include Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay in hosting celebratory matches for the centennial of the World Cup led to changes in the previously agreed-upon bid structure. Rubiales expressed concern that these developments weakened Spain's position regarding the opening match, describing the potential loss of this event as an "irrevocable damage."
