Major Construction Project Underway in Casablanca: Benlhou Frères to Build New Parking and Market

Construction of New Parking and Market in Casablanca

The SDL Casa Aménagement has officially selected Benlhou Frères for the ambitious construction project that involves building a two-level underground parking facility and a covered market at the Lahjajma site, located within the Anfa district of Casablanca. According to documents reviewed by TelQuel, the total cost of these works, which encompass all trades (TCE), has been contracted to Benlhou Frères for over 94.8 million dirhams, a figure that exceeds the initial budget estimate of 90.8 million dirhams set by the project owner.

The future parking facility and the central market will be strategically positioned near the prominent Hassan II Mosque along the Atlantic coast, enhancing the area's infrastructure and community amenities. Benlhou Frères has been allocated a timeframe of 12 months to complete the construction of both the parking structure and the market, which are pivotal components of the broader transformation plan for the Lahjajma site. This revitalization will also include the development of a sports complex, a public park, a new mosque, and an indoor swimming pool, thereby significantly upgrading the local facilities and services.

It is noteworthy that the project is being overseen by the Bet Next Etudes firm, ensuring effective project management and delivery. Meanwhile, the technical oversight of the construction works is entrusted to Tecnitas, a company specializing in construction quality control. The architectural vision for this project has been crafted by the talented architect Karim Rouissi, whose design aims to blend functionality with aesthetic appeal, creating a vibrant community hub for residents and visitors alike.
