In a significant law enforcement operation conducted on the morning of Saturday, October 10, authorities targeted a rural property in the vicinity of Fes, leading to the seizure of a staggering 4.1 tons of cannabis resin, known locally as shira. In addition to the illicit drugs, law enforcement officials confiscated maritime equipment believed to have been utilized in international drug trafficking activities.

This operation was carried out by the regional judicial police in Fes, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance. During the search, officials uncovered four inflatable boats, four marine engines, and the truck loaded with the drugs, indicating a well-organized smuggling operation.

Three individuals were arrested during this operation, including a woman who was found on the property. Upon checking her identity, it was revealed that she was wanted nationally for her suspected involvement in another drug-related case. Further investigations led to the apprehension of two additional suspects believed to be connected to the same trafficking activities. Authorities are continuing their inquiries to ascertain the potential connections linked to the case and to clarify the roles of each of the arrested individuals.

The three suspects are currently under judicial investigation, supervised by the relevant public prosecutor's office, to determine the circumstances surrounding the case and the potential liabilities associated with the seized drugs and equipment.
