A Significant Drug Interception by Law Enforcement in Fes
In a decisive operation conducted in the early hours of Saturday, law enforcement officials in Fes successfully thwarted an international drug trafficking attempt. Thanks to precise intelligence provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance, authorities intercepted a substantial shipment containing over four tons of hashish. This operation took place in the area of Ain Shakak, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Sefrou province.
The raid led to the arrest of three individuals, including a woman in her forties, who are suspected to be part of a criminal network involved in the illicit drug trade, specifically dealing with narcotics and psychotropic substances via maritime routes. In addition to the impressive drug haul, authorities also discovered a truck loaded with 4,100 kilograms of hashish, as well as disassembled speedboats and their engines, which are believed to be intended for smuggling operations across maritime pathways.
The arrested suspects have been placed under police custody as investigations progress, overseen by the competent judicial authorities. This step aims to uncover any further connections or extensions related to this criminal activity.
