On Monday, the judicial police of Marrakech, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, successfully seized 17,586 psychoactive pills and apprehended four individuals aged between 20 and 40 years. These arrests were made under suspicion of their involvement in drug possession and trafficking.
According to a security source, this significant operation took place across various neighborhoods in Marrakech, leading to the detention of the suspects caught in the act of possessing and distributing narcotics. The subsequent search and seizure efforts resulted in the confiscation of an impressive quantity of 17,586 medical narcotics of different types, in addition to two light vehicles believed to have been utilized to facilitate this illicit activity.
The same source further revealed that a background check on the suspects through the national security database indicated that one of them is wanted on several national warrants for his alleged involvement in similar drug trafficking activities.
Furthermore, the suspects have been subjected to a judicial investigation overseen by the competent public prosecutor's office. This inquiry aims to uncover potential further connections related to this criminal activity and to apprehend any other accomplices and participants suspected of being involved in these criminal acts.
