Significant Appointments in National Security Services

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has recently implemented a substantial series of appointments within its territorial services, impacting 20 key positions across 13 cities throughout the Kingdom of Morocco. This strategic movement, sanctioned by DGSN's Director General Abdellatif Hammouchi, spans various regions including Nador, Marrakech, Agadir, Tikiouine, Al Aroui, Safi, Oujda, Laâyoune, Casablanca, Béni Mellal, Benguerir, Tangier, and Assilah.

Among the notable changes, two security zone chiefs have been appointed in Agadir and Tikiouine, alongside the designation of a new chief for the police station in Assilah. Additionally, an assistant chief for a security zone in Marrakech has been selected to enhance local law enforcement capabilities.

In Nador, two officials have taken leadership roles at the newly established Regional Intervention Brigade and the Tourist Brigade, both designed to bolster the operational capabilities of the regional police services. This restructuring aims to enable a more effective response to the security needs of the public.

Enhancing Operational Efficiency and Human Resource Development

Further appointments have been made across services responsible for public safety, administrative management, and security communication systems, with significant changes occurring in Marrakech, Al Aroui, Tangier, Béni Mellal, Benguerir, Oujda, Casablanca, Laâyoune, and Safi. The DGSN frames this latest wave of appointments within its broader strategy for refreshing leadership roles and enhancing human resource value. The objective is to entrust greater responsibilities to personnel with substantial operational experience and high levels of qualification.

This rotation of command positions is an integral aspect of the DGSN's approach, aimed at improving the operational efficiency of decentralized services and their capacity to meet the security demands of citizens while safeguarding their properties.
