Matthias Walkner Faces Challenges in T4-SSV Class
In the T4-SSV category, Matthias Walkner and his Spanish co-driver Oriol Mena encountered difficulties, losing their lead on Thursday. Walkner described the day as a rollercoaster ride, explaining, "We got lost early on and lost about nine minutes. From then on, I pushed as hard as I could. The pace in the dunes was incredible, and it was so much fun to drive. Over the next 100 kilometers, I managed to make up three minutes. However, we suffered two punctures which cost us another nine minutes. We kept pushing and managed to recover four minutes at the end, but overall, we lost about ten minutes." Currently, Walkner ranks second in the overall standings of his class, trailing by slightly over five minutes. With two stages remaining, the victory in the Rally Morocco remains within reach. He stated, "Let's see what the last two days will bring."
