With the 2026 edition of the MDC, Marlink has rolled out IriChat, a secure live chat application that allows participants on the Adventure Raid route to communicate in real-time with race control and organizational vehicles using their smartphones, be it on iOS or Android platforms. In conjunction with IriChat, Marlink has introduced a lightweight mobile navigation and visualization service for the 2026 MDC, enabling rally teams, media personnel, and event organizers to track selected racers in real-time using smartphones, tablets, or laptops without the need for specialized software installation. This solution is accessible via any internet connection, streamlining operational oversight and enhancing situational awareness in the field. These innovations are seamlessly integrated into Marlink’s central monitoring platform, which consolidates live locations, alerts, and race timings to support race coordination and crisis management. This integration drastically reduces emergency response times while powering the public live tracking and mapping service available on the organizer’s website.
Beyond its digital offerings, Marlink provides comprehensive satellite connectivity solutions and deploys dedicated field engineers tasked with installing and maintaining tracking equipment, assisting operational staff at race headquarters, and training the organizer’s technical teams. Since 2018, competitors in the Rally Pro and Adventure Raid categories have benefitted from Marlink’s IriTrack and SmallTrack systems, which are essential for monitoring and tracking that bolster safety operations, race coordination, and emergency response in remote terrains. These systems are equipped with onboard sensors that automatically send alerts via satellite networks upon detecting an accident, facilitating quicker response coordination from race control.
