Marrakech Airport Sees Remarkable 10.4% Increase in Passenger Traffic

The Marrakech Menara International Airport has recorded a significant increase in passenger traffic, reporting a 10.40% rise by the end of February 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, according to data from the National Airports Office. The office revealed that the airport welcomed 1,769,912 travelers during the first two months of the current year, up from 1,603,193 passengers in February 2025. The distribution of air traffic between domestic and international flights during this period indicates that the airport served 1,700,720 passengers on international routes, marking a 9.76% increase, while domestic flights saw an impressive rise of 28.98%, accommodating 69,192 passengers.

In February alone, the Marrakech Menara Airport welcomed 899,058 travelers, reflecting a 7.44% increase compared to 836,792 passengers in the same month of the previous year. Among the top five international routes, the Marrakech-Paris Orly flight topped the list with 65,475 passengers, holding a 2.61% share of the total traffic. This was followed by the Mohammed V-Jeddah route with 53,104 passengers (2.12%), the Mohammed V-Paris Orly route with 49,082 passengers (1.90%), the Marrakech-London Gatwick route with 45,323 passengers (1.81%), and the Marrakech-Paris Charles de Gaulle route with 40,101 passengers (1.60%). This performance underscores the dynamic growth in air transportation at Marrakech Menara Airport, which serves as one of the primary gateways for tourism into Morocco.

On a national scale, commercial air traffic across Moroccan airports reached 5,909,802 travelers by the end of February 2026, reflecting a 7.91% growth compared to the same period last year, according to the National Airports Office. The breakdown of air traffic between domestic and international flights by the end of February 2026 showed that Moroccan airports welcomed 5,308,935 passengers on international routes (an increase of 8.18%) and 600,867 travelers on domestic flights (a rise of 5.60%).
