Marrakech Airshow 2026 Under Royal Patronage

Under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Marrakech Airshow 2026 is currently underway, running until October 10. This significant event is organized by the Association of Space, Aeronautics, and Defense Shows (ASSAD) in collaboration with various governmental bodies, including the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, the National Defense Administration, the Royal Armed Forces, and the Royal Gendarmerie. The show also enjoys support from the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE), the National Airports Office (ONDA), Royal Air Maroc (RAM), and the Deposit and Management Fund (CDG).

The opening ceremony of this year’s edition was graced by prominent figures from the global aerospace and defense industries, including Abdeltif Loudyi, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defense Administration; Ryad Mezzour, the Minister of Industry and Commerce; and Abdessamad Kayouh, the Minister of Transport and Logistics. Other distinguished attendees included General Issa Saif Bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Duke Buchan III, the Ambassador of the United States to Morocco, and Khatib El Hebil, the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region.

This edition of the Marrakech Airshow marks a strategic milestone, attracting high-level foreign delegations made up of ministers, military chiefs, and senior civilian and military officials. Notably, the United Arab Emirates has made a strong showing as a strategic partner with a significant delegation and notable representation from Emirati participants in the aerospace and defense sectors.

In his address at the opening ceremony, Taoufiq Moucharraf, President of ASSAD, emphasized that “thanks to the foresighted vision and leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco has successfully built a competitive and integrated aerospace industry that is resolutely future-oriented.” He highlighted that the 8th edition of the Marrakech Airshow showcases the journey taken by the Kingdom and its international stature. The event serves as both a display of technological innovations that define the future of the sector and a catalyst for Morocco's ambitions in upgrading its aerospace industry and developing its industrial and technological defense base.

Leading global firms such as Lockheed Martin, L3Harris Technologies, Airbus, Boeing, Safran, Thales, Embraer, RTX Corporation, IAI, Elbit Systems, Tata Advanced Systems, and Harmattan AI are showcasing their products alongside Moroccan industry leaders. This substantial presence reflects the growing enthusiasm for the Marrakech Airshow, which has established itself as a premier platform for networking, exchanges, and business opportunities within the sector.

The event will also feature a large air show and static exhibition, presenting a selection of next-generation aircraft and platforms. Flight demonstrations, aerial presentations, and equipment exhibitions will allow visitors and professionals to explore the technological advancements and expertise that drive the evolution of today's and tomorrow's aerospace industries. Furthermore, the Airshow offers a rich program of strategic panels, professional meetings, and high-level exchanges focused on the challenges and transformations facing the sector.
