Marrakech Hosts the Second Edition of 'The Moment' by ZONA

Marrakech's Vibrant Electronic Scene Welcomes 'The Moment'

The Moroccan electronic music scene is set to come alive with the return of "The Moment," an exciting showcase organized by ZONA. The second edition of this highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place on June 26, 2026, in the enchanting city of Marrakech. Following an inaugural edition that drew thousands of attendees, the upcoming event aims to further establish Marrakech as a prominent destination within the international electronic music landscape.

Scheduled to be held at Playa Leon by Château Hakim, conveniently located near Chez Ali, this event promises an immersive experience that brings together international artists, emerging talents, and local music scene contributors. This initiative aligns with ZONA's overarching vision to enhance Marrakech's stature on the global map of electronic music.

Exciting Line-Up and Local Talent Integration

The programming for this edition is particularly exciting, featuring artists from the melodic house and afro house genres. Headlining the event is the renowned Danish collective WhoMadeWho, who will deliver a live performance that intricately blends electronic artistry with immersive sound creation. Additionally, South African producer Shimza, a leading figure in the global afro-tech scene, will grace the event along with the talented DJ and producer Desiree, representing the new wave of South African artists.

In a nod to local talent, Moroccan artists such as Kenza Kayati and Staika will also participate, adding their unique musical influences to the diverse line-up that seamlessly combines international styles with local roots. According to the organizers, this endeavor is part of a broader strategy to position Morocco as a hub for major global electronic music scenes, featuring productions that meet international standards and creating immersive experiences designed to enhance the appeal of the destination.

The event comes at a time when Marrakech is increasingly attracting artists, collectives, and audiences from North Africa, the Middle East, and beyond. This ongoing dynamism is gradually solidifying the city's reputation as a cultural and artistic destination, extending beyond its traditional tourism appeal. The organizers have indicated that this new edition will pay special attention to stage design and artistic direction, transforming the venue into a space fully dedicated to music and performance.

The previous edition attracted over 4,500 attendees, with more than a quarter being international visitors. Given this enthusiastic response, ZONA is aiming for an even larger turnout this year, with ticket pre-sales already showing a complete sell-out.
