Marrakech-Menara Airport Experiences Significant Growth

According to the latest statistics from the National Airports Office (ONDA), Marrakech-Menara International Airport has achieved a remarkable milestone by welcoming 5.63 million passengers in the first six months of 2026. This figure represents an impressive increase of 10.41% compared to the same period last year. The airport continues to demonstrate its vital role in connecting Morocco to the world, with passenger traffic showing consistent growth.

During the first half of 2026, the airport recorded a total of 5,636,776 travelers, a notable rise from the 5,105,518 passengers reported in the first half of 2025. Specifically, in June alone, the airport accommodated 843,375 passengers, surpassing the 785,641 recorded in June 2025. Among these, international flights accounted for 806,082 travelers, reflecting a 7.03% increase, while domestic travel reached 37,293, marking a significant 14.66% rise.

The busiest international route for June was the Marrakech to Orly, Paris, which served 73,621 passengers, followed closely by the Marrakech to Charles de Gaulle route, which recorded 50,909 travelers. These figures further solidify Marrakech-Menara's position as one of Morocco's key tourist gateways, facilitating increased travel and tourism for the region.

Overall, Moroccan airports welcomed a total of 18.83 million passengers in the first half of 2026, reflecting an 8.83% growth compared to the previous year, showcasing the country’s expanding aviation sector and its appeal as a tourist destination.
