Marrakech Menara Airport Sees Significant Increase in Passenger Traffic

The Marrakech Menara International Airport has reported a remarkable increase of 10.40% in passenger traffic at the end of February 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, according to data from the National Airports Office. The statistics reveal that the airport welcomed a total of 1,769,912 passengers during the first two months of the current year, up from 1,603,193 passengers at the end of February 2025. The distribution of air traffic between domestic and international flights during this period shows that the airport accommodated 1,700,720 travelers through international flights (a rise of 9.76%) and 69,192 passengers via domestic flights (an increase of 28.98%).

In February alone, Marrakech Menara Airport received 899,058 passengers, reflecting a 7.44% growth compared to 836,792 passengers during the same month in 2025. Among the top five international routes, the Marrakech-Paris Orly route ranked first with 65,475 passengers, accounting for 2.61% of the total, followed by the Mohammed V-Jeddah route with 53,104 passengers (2.12%), the Mohammed V-Paris Orly route with 49,082 passengers (1.90%), the Marrakech-London Gatwick route with 45,323 passengers (1.81%), and the Marrakech-Paris Charles de Gaulle route with 40,101 passengers (1.60%). This performance underscores the dynamic nature of air travel at Marrakech Menara Airport, which serves as one of the primary gateways for tourism into the kingdom.

On a national level, commercial air traffic at Moroccan airports recorded 5,909,802 passengers by the end of February 2026, marking a growth rate of 7.91% compared to the same period last year. The distribution of air traffic for passengers between domestic and international flights at the end of February 2026 revealed that Moroccan airports welcomed 5,308,935 travelers through international flights (up 8.18%) and 600,867 passengers on domestic flights (increased by 5.60%).
