Marrakech Menara Airport Sees Significant Increase in Passenger Traffic

Marrakech Menara International Airport has reported an impressive passenger movement totaling 1,016,169 travelers by the end of April this year, marking an increase of 8.42% compared to the same period in 2025, according to data from the National Airports Office. This noteworthy rise is indicative of the airport's growing significance as a key hub for both domestic and international travel.

The statistical data concerning commercial air traffic reveals that during the same timeframe in 2025, the airport welcomed approximately 937,260 passengers. Delving deeper into the breakdown of passenger traffic between national and international flights, it was noted that Marrakech Menara Airport accommodated 961,408 travelers on international routes, an increase from 891,740 passengers recorded last year, reflecting a growth rate of 7.81%.

In terms of domestic flights, the number of travelers reached 54,761, compared to 45,520 passengers at the close of April 2025, showcasing a substantial increase of 20.30%. Over the first four months of 2026, the airport has welcomed a total of 3,803,669 passengers, up from 3,432,643 during the same period in 2025; this translates to an overall growth of 10.81%.

Focusing on the most active international routes during April 2026, the Marrakech–Orly line topped the list with 78,229 passengers, followed by the Casablanca–Orly route with 73,481 passengers. Other notable routes included Marrakech–Charles de Gaulle with 60,667 passengers, Casablanca–Charles de Gaulle with 52,158 passengers, and Marrakech–Gatwick with 48,233 passengers. These figures underscore the continuous dynamism of Marrakech Menara Airport, affirming its status as one of the leading air and tourist centers in the country and a major gateway for visitors.
